How to Convert Any Wedding Dress to a Western Wedding Gown

When most brides are looking for western wedding gowns, they usually have to special order the dress and this leaves the brides feeling anxious until it arrives. I didn't want to be one of those brides. So I went to my local wedding shop and browsed through the wedding gowns, and veils and found the ones I liked. Then I went to a local western apparel store and ordered a white cowboy hat. I attached the veil to the hat. I put these items together and you can see from the photo, I created a gorgous western wedding dress which cost less than ordering the whole outfit. Here are some ideas for you to create your own western wedding dress.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cowboy hat and wedding veil or premade wedding cowboy hat with veil
  • any wedding dress
  • white cowboy boots
  1. Step 1
    Wedding gown
    Wedding gown

    Go to your own local wedding store to purchase your wedding grown and veil. Most wedding dress and veil styles can easily be converted into western wedding theme dress.

  2. Step 2
    Pre assembled cowboy hat and veil
    Pre assembled cowboy hat and veil

    Go to your local western apparel store to purchase your white cowboy hat or you can special order a pre assembled wedding hat and veil.

  3. Step 3
    white or back wedding cowboy boots

    Check your local western apparel shop for white cowboy boots. If necessary, order them.

  4. Step 4

    Combine the wedding grown, hat with the veil, and the white cowboy boots and voila you have a western wedding dress.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you need to order any part of your wedding outfit, be sure to order well in advance, so the items can reach you in time. Then you will have one less thing to worry about.
