How to Decorate Using a Calendar

Have you ever wanted to give your child a great "theme" room but you didn't think you had a the time or the money? Well I think I have an idea here that you will enjoy and it's farely easy too.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Access to a lamanater
• at least 1 calendar
• scissors
• sticky tack

1. 

   After you buy your calender go through and cut out all of the pictures. I used Care Bears for my daughter's room, so I went through and cut out all of the bears, Fun words (carebear names), little designs around the outside. (flowers, stars etc.) Make sure you cut them into a nice outlined shape.

2. 

   Now go to the lamanator and lamanate all of the items you've just cut out. Make sure to leave enough space that the items won't touch each other when they're going through the machine.
   
   If they do, sometimes you can save them both by using and exacto knife and carefully cutting the lamanation that the 2 pictures are sharing.

3. 

   Now you get to cut again! Make sure you leave about 1/8" lamanation around the outside of your picture.
   
   If you try to cut all of the lamanation around the pictures the lamanation will begin to peel.

4. Now you can begin placing the pictures on the walls with the sticky tack.
   
   If you choose to use tape or glue that's fine but you run a chance of peeling the paint if you try to take it off.

Tips & Warnings

• I went to the Dollar Store and picked up some frames. None of them alike or matching. Then I went ACE hardware and picked up a can of white spray paint. I spray painted all of the frames so they all had the same color and looked similar. I put some left over calendar pictures in the frames and added them to the wall.
• Try adding a poster or bright curtains to add to the room.
• If you need extra pictures go to google images and print them off. Lamanate just the same as the rest. From the walls and with the lamantion it will be hard to tell the difference if it is a good print out.
• Trying adding small accents/calendar pictures to the ceiling fan or the light switch cover.
• Have your kids help you decorate their room.
