Quickly make meat pies as a party finger food or quick dinner fix. This recipe makes 6 pies

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cooked Meat- whatever you prefer (chicken, beef, turkey)cut in small dime size pieces.
  • Cilantro- 1 bunch(optional)
  • Green onions-5 sticks
  • Oil-1 tablespoon
  • Puff pastry- 1 pack(frozen things aisle in the store) I use Pepperidge farms
  1. Step 1

Fry in a skillet, the onions with the oil for about 2 minutes. Add cilantro, meat, whatever seasoning you like( I just use a pinch of salt) and stir fry until all is well mixed up. Turn off heat and let it cool for about 5 minutes

  2. Step 2

Pre heat the oven to 400*F. Unfold the two sheets of thawed pastry onto floured surface and cut along the 3 strips.

  3. Step 3

Spread the meat mixture onto half of each strip and fold the other half over it. Use your fingers to press seal the sides and ends of the pastry.

  4. Step 4

Bake for 10-13 minutes until puffed or golden brown. Cool on rack for 5 minutes before serving.

Tips & Warnings
  • To add color to your meat pie, consider brushing some egg white onto the pie top just before baking.
  • Do not bake in microwave or toaster
