How to do a Personalize CD as a Gift

Giving expensive gift to our beloved in every special occasions are usual to us... we always do this to let them know how much we care or love them. but what if you don't have enough money for an expensive gift. Then you must think of something that can be memorable for him or her, you must think their hobbies first, what if they are music lovers, you must consider the kinds of the music they love; what if they like to collect their own videos or collect pictures from a certain happenings and you have a collection of that... all you have to do is burn it on CD and put some love into it...

Things You’ll Need:

• Blank CD/DVD
• Cd Case Slim
• Photopaper
• CD Sticker
• Paper Cutter
• printer
• computer

1. You must have a Nero Application Installed in your Computer for you to be able to create a personalize CD. Open the Nero Application, then select a disc type (CD or DVD/VCD).
2. Choose a Category, then pick a task (if you want to transfer songs then choose AUDIO Category then click "Make an Audio CD"; If you want to save Pictures then Choose The PHOTO AND VIDEO Category and Click "Make Photo Slide Show" and lastly, if you want to burn Videos, you must Choose "Make Video CD" under the PHOTO AND VIDEO Category.)
3. when a new dialog box open (untitled Project or Nero Express is the title), drag the files from the source folder and put it in the dialog box.
4. click the next button then select the right writing speed for the files you burn (For the song files the writing speed must be 16x(2,400 KB/s), for Pictures and Videos must be 32x(4,800 KB/s) it is optional depends on the capacity of the CD writer)
5. then click BURN button, it was usually checked the disc first before burn the files, and you will wait for 5-7 minutes for the song files, pictures and videos are usually takes 20 to 30 minutes depending on its writing speed.
6. When CD Burning is Done, you are ready to create label for your CD. Click "Create Label Design" then a Nero Cover Design Dialogue Box will open, Select for a "Empty Document", In the "Booklet(front)" Double the Square Surface and the "Background Properties" will appear. Click for "File" button and Search for Right picture that you want to appear on your CD Label then click "open" button and last the "OK" button.
7. You will see the empty surface has the picture now, all you have to do is to put some words or name on the label. if it is a song compilation, and you want to have song tracks, just right click from the label, then click insert, and then track list, then you will see that the cursor has change into track list cursor, click and drag to form a square shape and you will see the tracks inside the square.
8. edit the tracks by double click, change its Font and color by clicking the "Tracks" Tab, click "Image and Brush" if you want to put image or color behind the tracks, and "Pen" if you want a border on the track, and lastly "Bend" Tab, it is not necessary design for the tracks, you can leave it anyway.
9. you had already put picture background and tracks on your label, but you still want to have a little dedication to it, or you want to put their name on the label.. then right click again, then click insert and click "field" then search fro the "custom Text", drag the custom text in the space you want to provide. To put design for your custom text, double click to the custom text and change its fonts and color in your own way then click "OK" button, resize the text and tracks as long as you want to change its design.
10. personalize CD And your done creating the label... You are now ready for print outs, Put the Photo Paper on the printer and set the properties of the printer depends on the paper you are using. and print it. Next is to create a CD label Sticker, select the Book Rear(front) Tab, you just have to follow the steps from 6 to 9, and print it out. cut the label using cutter paper and put it in front of the CD, stick out the sticker then place on the top of the CD, you are already done...

Tips & Warnings

• while you are Burning a CD, don't do anything on your computer yet, unless its done.
• you must use a glossy photo paper for the best layout.
