Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Place your right foot on the front of the base with your heel down and your toes up so you are ready to leave the bag and run to the next base. Keep your left foot on the center of the base.

  2. Step 2

Watch the ball. You must know when the pitcher has released the ball because you need to leave the base at that time. You must wait for the pitcher to throw the ball.

  3. Step 3

Take one step or two steps off the base at the precise moment the pitcher releases the ball. You must wait until this time or you might get called out for leaving the base too early.

  4. Step 4

Make the first couple of steps quick. Try to steal the next base that you will be running to. You must stay on the base line while running.

  5. Step 5

Watch for a fly ball. You must get back to your base if someone catches a pop ball or you will get tagged. You are out if you are tagged.
