Things You'll Need:
- Glass Ornament
- Soldering iron
- Solder
- Work surface
-
Step 1
Choose an ornament that compliments your stained glass piece. If you're laying it on top of another piece of glass, decide whether you want to be able to see the other color through the ornament.
-
Step 2
Place the ornament where you want it. Look at it before attaching it to make sure it achieves your desired look.
-
Step 3
Hold your soldering iron above the stained glass ornament. Make contact and drop a ball on the joint between the ornament and glass project.
-
Step 4
Attach the ornament around all sides, running the solder around all sides to make sure there are no gaps.
-
Step 5
Lift up the stained glass project if you need to maneuver a little bit better. Hold it at all angles as you run the soldering iron along all the edges.
-
Step 6
Go through all the solder on the stained glass project and smooth away any globs that are evident. Simply run your soldering iron along the metal to even it all out.
-
Step 7
Look over the stained glass piece and see if you're happy with all your seams and metal work. Take some time to smooth out anything you need to before finishing the project.
