Rubber stamp wheels add dimension to scrap book pages, handmade cards and gift wrap. Create your own backgrounds, borders and textured paper using a stamp wheel. Choose from small, standard or jumbo-sized stamp wheels for your projects.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Stamp wheel
  • Paper or cardstock
  • Ink cartridge
  1. Step 1

Hold the wheel in both hands and snap the stamp wheel into the ink cartridge in the color of your choice with both thumbs.

  2. Step 2

Push the wheel up so that it is touching the ink pad.

  3. Step 3

Prime the stamping wheel by running it over scrap paper until the ink is evenly distributed over the wheel.

  4. Step 4

Place a piece of paper onto the table underneath the paper you will be stamping so that it sticks out underneath both ends.

  5. Step 5

Put your pointer wheel onto the top of the wheel, thus stabilizing the wheel by applying light, even pressure.

  6. Step 6

Start off the paper and begin rolling the stamp wheel across the paper.

  7. Step 7

Roll all the way across the paper until you have rolled completely off the paper.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you don't have a steady hand, roll the stamp alongside a ruler to keep the design straight.
  • You can also use stamp wheels to impress clay to make designs on your pottery or other clay projects.
  • Use your stamp wheels to create decorative borders on your walls.
  • Prevent your ink from drying out by storing it in an air tight container and out of direct sunlight.
