Things You'll Need:
- Cooling rack
- Pot holders
- Cooked Christmas pudding
-
Step 1
Place a cooling rack on the counter. If you don't have a cooling rack, you can place a plate down instead. However a cooling rack is optimal so that air can cool the bottom of the Christmas pudding as well as the top.
-
Step 2
Set the Christmas pudding while still in its pan on top of the cooling rack. Remember to use pot holders for this portion.
-
Step 3
Remove the tin foil from the top of the Christmas pudding. Foil does not hold heat very long because it is so thin. When removing the foil, you'll be able to use your fingers. Just remember that the pan is still very hot.
-
Step 4
Grab both sides of the pan (again using your pot holders) and flip the Christmas pudding on the cooling rack so that the top is now on the bottom. If correctly cooked, the pan should slide right off.
-
Step 5
Allow the Christmas pudding to cool for 5 to 10 minutes before garnishing with toppings (whipped cream, ice cream or whatever else the recipe calls for) and serving to your guests.
