Step 1
Remove one end of the sliding childproof lock from the clasp by pushing in on the buttons located on either side. Applying pressure to those buttons allows the clasp to be moved up and down the childproof locks.

Step 2
Thread the released end through both handles of the cabinet door. The handles of the cabinet doors should be inside the two lengths of the sliding childproof lock.

Step 3
Return the end of the sliding childproof lock to the clasp.

Step 4
Push the clasp as far up the childproof lock as you can to pull it taut, to make opening the cabinet doors impossible.

Step 5
Secure every cabinet that has anything dangerous inside of it, like cleaning supplies or glass baking containers.
