Google offers users a personal browser tool that allows people to copy text and images, write notes and add links in an online notebook. Google Notebooks can be published to the web, shared with friends or even collaborated on with other people. With Google Notebooks, a user can gather data for several different projects at once in separate Notebook pages.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Log in to your Google account. A Gmail account is required to create a notebook. Gmail accounts are free and take about 5 minutes to set up.

  2. Step 2

Click on the "Notebook" link in your Google account. Select the notebook you want to share.

  3. Step 3

Go to "Sharing Options" and select it. A message appears that read, "This notebook is not currently shared."

  4. Step 4

Insert email addresses, separated by commas, in the "Invite Collaborators" section of the page. A collaborator is someone who can view and edit the notebook just as you can. These people also need to have a Gmail account.

  5. Step 5

Click the circle next to "Yes" under "Publish this Notebook" if you want anyone to be able to view the page. When you click "Yes" you get a web address that links directly to the notebook page. People who view the page cannot change the content, but they will be able to view your notes.

  6. Step 6

Invite people to view your notebook. Insert their email addresses, separated with commas, in the box provided. Type in the author's name in the box provided. This name will appear to all those who view your notebook, listing the name as the author.

  7. Step 7

Check the box beside "Use Thumbnail Images to Publish the Notebook" to save room and use smaller pictures.

  8. Step 8

Click on the "Save Settings" button at the bottom of the page to share your Google Notebook.
