Google is one of the most popular sites on the Internet and used by millions every day for searching and other browsing tasks. They also offer a browser extension that can be downloaded quickly and easily to extend your Google Notebook experience.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know what Google Notebook is. Google Notebook is a downloadable feature offered by Google to enhance your web surfing experience by offering a place to store "clipping" off the websites you visit and wish to re-visit (see Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Make sure you meet the requirements. More than just the standard hard drive and CPU requirements, Google Notebook's Browser Extension is only available for Firefox 1.5+ and Internet Explorer 6. If you are not using one of those browsers, you are out of luck, or will have to download them first.

  3. Step 3

Download the Google Notebook browser extension by visiting the site listed in the resources section. Follow the simple, common downloading instructions. It is also a good idea to restart your computer after the download is complete.

  4. Step 4

Use the Google Notebook browser extension. Play around with it a little to see how it works. It is a simple, no frills kind of program and should be easy to use. If you have problems, consult the "help" section of the program.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid using other programs or opening more than one browser page while downloading, as this can slow the downloading and installation time considerably.
