Juggling with 4 balls is considerably more complicated than juggling with just 3, but 4-ball juggling is much more visually impressive and a lot of fun. Once you have mastered some of the basics of 4-ball juggling, like the Fountain and the Shower techniques, you can expand to patterns like the Shower Stacks that will be much more interesting for your audience and challenging for you.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 balls or bags for juggling
  1. Step 1

Master the 4-Ball Shower before trying other juggling patterns that are based on the Shower. Shower Stacks, also called the Multiplex, are a variation on the Shower, so practice the basic Shower until you really have it down.

  2. Step 2

Practice individual Stack Throws first before attempting the Shower Stacks. For the Stack Throws, throw a stack of 2 balls from the same hand in the same throw, sending one higher than the other so that you catch them individually with the other hand.

  3. Step 3

Practice throwing the stack and catching it with your other hand first, simply collecting the caught balls in your other hand.

  4. Step 4

Practice throwing with each hand so that you can later switch and split, rather than just being confined to doing this trick with one throwing hand.

  5. Step 5

Move on to catching the balls and vamping them individually back to the throwing hand as they are caught once you are able to throw and catch the stacks. Put it all together to do the Shower Stacks and to transition back to juggling the Shower with 4 balls.
