Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 4 juggling bags or balls
  1. Step 1

Practice juggling 4 balls in a basic fountain pattern until you feel extremely comfortable with 4 balls as a base. If you need more practice with the fountain and are still dropping balls, keep practicing before learning other patterns.

  2. Step 2

Learn several juggling patterns and tricks so that you feel comfortable with at least 2 to 3 separate juggling patterns for 4 balls. Three different patterns will enable you to change up the pace and appearance of your performance.

  3. Step 3

Link your site swaps and patterns by experimenting with transitional throws between different patterns. Some tricks and patterns may require a 5-5 transitional throw, while others may not because the throws fit together naturally.

  4. Step 4

Practice the 6-6-1, 6-1, 6-1 pattern linked to a 7-4-1 pattern to get the feel of a pattern combination with four balls that does not require a transitional throw in between. Make sure that if you don't need a transitional throw, you leave the 5-5 transition out.

Tips & Warnings
  • Experiment with linking whatever patterns and tricks you like best. If you're unsure which patterns are compatible, do some research to find out which patterns are well known for easy linking to other juggling tricks.
