If you are taking the time and paying the money at a driving range, you should at least get something positive out of the time there. Therefore, maximizing your time at a driving range can be just as good for you as playing a successful round of golf. Follow the steps below to find out how to maximize your driving range sessions.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate
Step1
Decide what your energy level is when you get there. You do not want to waste money on balls that you do not feel like hitting, or that you will hit poorly.
Step2
Have a plan when you go to the driving range. If you need to work on your swing, tempo or alignment, do just that. Correct that problem before you move onto anything else.
Step3
Choose a spot at the range away from other golfers. This allows you to have the best concentration and you won't be embarrassed by a bad shot you are sure to have at one point or another.
Step4
Treat each shot as if you were actually on the course. You should pick a target, follow through, and watch the ball to it's intended target. Use the same mindset you do on the course.
Step5
Keep the same routine you use when playing a game of golf. Do not get into bad habits with your stance, alignment or swing. These problems can occur when you just go to the range and start swinging at the balls.
Step6
Notice the improvement in your game after you have a purpose at the driving range and your not there just to hit balls and take out your frustration.
