Things You'll Need:
- Seashell
- Old beach pail or bucket
- Bleach
- Epoxy glue
- Nightlight with fastener clip
- Wooden craft stick
- Small paper plate
-
Step 1
Search for seashells along the beach for more sunshine and entertainment, but you can also just buy them. It's important not to have any organic matter in the shell before crafting.
-
Step 2
Look for flat seashells like scallops or sand dollars that will attach easily to the night light fastener. Other shells with a wavy or curly body will probably work too, but it might be more difficult.
-
Step 3
Get your pail and fill it with even amounts of water and bleach if you want to make the seashells white. If not, wash them thoroughly with warm soapy water and scrub with an old toothbrush until it's grit-free.
-
Step 4
Dry the seashell completely before making the night light, then you're ready to begin. Gather the rest of your items to continue.
-
Step 5
Dab the epoxy onto a small paper plate. Remove shade fastener and grab the craft stick. Put a small amount of glue onto the front of the fastener and hold seashell in place for a few seconds. Then allow it to dry completely.
-
Step 6
Plug the night light in and watch it glow. This will look beautiful with rooms decorated in a nautical or seaside theme.
