How to Make Three-Dimensional Snowmen

The holidays are a time for family, and creating homemade decorations is an activity in which the whole family can participate. Creating three-dimensional snowmen is easy for family members of all ages. And, they're a fun and festive way to bring the family together to celebrate the holiday season.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Go to the Christmas Paper Crafts website and print the pattern for the snowmen. Cut out the pieces of the pattern.

  2. Step 2

    Trace bodies for three snowmen, six hats, six brims, six short scarf pieces and three long scarf pieces on the color paper you want, using the pattern pieces. Cut out the pieces from the colored paper.

  3. Step 3

    Glue the hat pieces on the heads of the snowmen, the short scarf pieces on the snowmen's necks, and the long scarf pieces on the right portion of the front of the snowmen. Allow the glue to dry.

  4. Step 4

    Line up the snowmen front to back in a pile and paper clip all around the edges. Draw a pencil line, lightly, along the center of the front snowman.

  5. Step 5

    Sew a straight seam down the marked line with a sewing machine. Fold the snowman out so he can stand up by himself.

  6. Step 6

    Color eyes, a nose and a mouth with markers on each face of the figure.

Tips & Warnings
  • Glue pom-poms or googly eyes to the snowmen for some added fun. Also try adding glitter.
