A free traffic exchange is a good way to advertise something you have for sale. The exchange allows you to advertise your goods at no cost. In return, you agree to view ads from other traffic exchange customers. While it depends on the traffic exchange, you generally need to view two ads for approximately 15 seconds each in order to advertise one of your ads.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Design a simple web page to advertise on the free traffic exchange. You should not need to scroll to read the page and the page should load quickly. Save the page on your server, or you can have it hosted on a free web-hosting server. Copy the URL to a safe location.

  2. Step 2

Find a free traffic exchange to use. There are many of them. A simple search can help you find the top traffic exchanges.

  3. Step 3

Sign up as a free member. Often when you join, you receive a number of free advertising views or credits. Be sure to jot down the email or username and password you used to sign up.

  4. Step 4

Take time to look around the back office of the traffic exchange. Assign credits to the web page you designed in Step 1. You need to enter the URL from Step 1 as well.

  5. Step 5

Set up any banner credits that the free traffic exchange offers. Some traffic exchanges also offer text ads as well. Take advantage of any advertising offered by the free traffic exchange.

  6. Step 6

Surf the free traffic exchange. Surfing is when you view other people's ads. Remember this step gets more free advertising for you.

  7. Step 7

Buy additional credits. If you don't have time to surf, you can buy extra credits for a reasonable price.
