Summer is the perfect time to host a party. With so many long weekends, you have a great opportunity to see an increase in direct sales once the weather warms up. To boost your sales even more during the summer months, there are a few things you can do to spice things up.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Offer door prizes at every party. There's nothing like a free giveaway to drum up business. Choose a fun summer item like a grilling or pool set to bring the clients in. It gets your name out there and puts people in the mood to buy. Offer a free entry with each purchase of $20 or more, or give everyone a chance to win the prize.
Step2
Get your clients in the mood to party. Create a flyer or postcard with a festive summer recipe that's great for entertaining. Then suggest products that would help them throw a great summer party in their own home. You may have a fun new line of dishes or serving-ware that would be great for their next get-together, so let them know about it.
Step3
Create a summer survival guide related to your business. If you sell Tupperware, for instance, show people how your products can help them minimize time in the kitchen so that they can spend more time with their friends and family having fun. If you sell Avon, show your clients how to get a flawless summer look on the go.
Step4
Keep in touch. Summer is busy for a lot of people, so the best way to get those party plan sales in the summer months is to stay on top of any leads you receive. Send emails, postcards and flyers to keep them abreast of the new products that you have on sale.
