If you are thinking of getting involved with a multi-level marketing job and company, you might want to look at some specifics before you place any money down. There are many work-from-home scams out there on the market, and many of them are multi-level marketing. Here is what to look for when you think your multi-level marketing job might be a scam. It is better to be prepared before you invest any money.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Browse the whole website and see if they list a full address and phone number before investing in a multi-level marketing job. If they don't have any contact deals except for a general form, it is probably not legitimate. If they do have a phone number, then call it to ask them about their program.

  2. Step 2

Take the name of the company and search Rip Off Report (see Resources below) and see what results come up. If they are a scam, then people that have been through the scam already might have posted some information on there.

  3. Step 3

Look up the business on the Better Business Bureau in your area and see if they have any complaints thrown against them. Usually people who have been scammed place reports so the company cannot do it again.

  4. Step 4

Make sure you do not put any money into the multi-level marketing job until you have checked them out thoroughly. They might make you promises of making large amounts of money for simple work. There are no free lunches in this word, so be aware.
