Instructions
  1. Step 1

Recognize that some sleep disorders such as sleep apnea can be dangerous to your health.

  2. Step 2

Lack of sleep can cause accidents on the job and on the road. It can affect your health, relationships and your job performance, and can make you feel exhausted and disconnected from the world.

  3. Step 3

Maintain your mental and physical health by getting the required amount of uninterrupted sleep every night. Most children and adults need between 8 and 10 hours.

  4. Step 4

Create the proper room atmosphere and temperature. Make sure your room stays dark by using lined curtains, and keep you room on the cool side, which creates a more comfortable atmosphere.

  5. Step 5

Drinking warm or hot milk with honey before going to bed will help to put you in a relaxed mode before going to sleep. Use herbal therapies to improve sleep and provide nutrient supplements to prevent your immune system from breaking down.

  6. Step 6

Try wearing socks to bed, as keeping your feet warm will allow better sleep. Watch a little television in bed, listen to the radio, read a book or magazine before attempting to sleep; this will help to relax you in preparing for sleep.

  7. Step 7

Keep a daily diary of activities and sleep, and see your doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment if the above Steps do not help.
