Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Replace your office chair with an exercise ball for at least an hour out of the day. This will strengthen your core (abs and back) while you work on your posture.
Step2
Use a bathroom on another floor so you can take the steps there and back. If there are no additional floors in your office, use a bathroom located on another floor or across the hall. Drink water all day so you have to go more often.
Step3
Wear a pedometer so you know how much you walk in a day. Set a goal for yourself such as 6,000 steps. If you walk between 6-10,000 steps a day, you have obtained a full cardiovascular workout.
Step4
Eat a light healthy lunch, then climb the stairs or walk around the parking lot of your building for the remaining time.
Step5
Walk to a co-worker's desk to deliver a message or document. Don't rely on email to do this when you can get a little exercise from the trip.
Step6
Be creative. As long as you are moving, you are burning calories. Keep this in mind as you find more ways to exercise while working.
