Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Buy a set of golf clubs. This will save you money because you won't have to borrow equipment and it will also allow you practice the sport any time you get the opportunity.
Step2
Purchase an artificial putting green for your home. These are inexpensive and only take up approximately 10 feet of floor space. A home putting green allows you to practice your putting even on the worst weather days.
Step3
Take lessons from a golf professional at a local golf course a day or two a week.
Step4
Get a membership at a local golf course so you will have the opportunity to practice or play anytime. Golf courses open at daylight and close at dark and are open throughout the weekend and holidays so you will have plenty of opportunity to utilize this membership.
Step5
Find a practice partner. Make sure this individual is on the same skill level as you are so that you are both working on the same skills. You can help each other evaluate skills and point out subtle mistakes that are difficult to pinpoint on yourself.
Step6
Spend time at driving ranges so you can work on your driving and chipping skills.
