How to Use the BMW Bluetooth Module
Bluetooth is a technology that allows electronics to work with each other through radio frequency. Use a Bluetooth enabled phone with the BMW Bluetooth module to have safe, hands free telephone conversations while driving. Use up to four phones at a time with the BMW Bluetooth module. Consult the BMW owners' manual for troubleshooting tips.

Pair the telephones to the BMW Bluetooth Module according to the instructions in the owners manual of both the BMW and the phone.

Make a phone call by scrolling through the phone book using the R/T buttons on the steering wheel. Press the send button on the steering wheel when the number is highlighted.

Dial phone numbers manually with the Bluetooth by pressing the send button until you hear a beep. Say the words "dial call." Speak the phone number audibly and then say "dial."

Accept an incoming phone call by pressing the send/receive button on the steering wheel or the center console.

Disconnect a phone call by pressing the send/receive button on the steering wheel or center console.

Transfer current phone calls from the phone to the Bluetooth module by turning on the car ignition. Wait for the Bluetooth connection to be made, then press the send/receive button.

Switch active calls from the Bluetooth module to the cell phone by turning off the car ignition and walking away from the car. Press the maintain call button on the phone when prompted to do so.
