Short sheeting a bed is a prank traditionally pulled at camps and sleep overs. Provided you know how to make a bed with traditionally tucked sheets and tight hospital corners, you can short sheet a bed in just a few minutes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Remove the pillows, blankets and comforters from the bed you want to perform the short sheet trick on.

  2. Step 2

Take off the flat sheet but leave the fitted sheet on the bed.

  3. Step 3

Flip the flat sheet so the bed is essentially made upside down. Tuck the flat sheet in and under the mattress using tight hospital corners, only do it at the head of the bed instead of the foot.

  4. Step 4

Remake the bed as you normally would, with the blankets and comforter at the head of the bed, and return the pillows to their original position.

Tips & Warnings
  • Tuck the flat sheet in tightly when you short sheet the bed. Consider tucking the flat sheet under the mattress all the way along the sides of the bed for added mischief.
  • Get a friend to help you create a super-tight short sheeted bed by having him pull the flat sheet taunt on the other side and tucking it under the mattress in unison.
