How to Sell Anything on Amazon
Amazon is a website that no longer sells only books but offers a variety of things users can buy such as movies, games, digital downloads, electronics, home and garden, kids' stuff, apparel, health and beauty and even groceries. Not only can web surfers buy these items new, they can purchase some of them used through private sellers. If you wish to capitalize on Amazon's name brand and high website traffic to make some extra money, there are ways you can sell anything on Amazon.

1
Sign up for an Amazon account. If you are a first-time user to the site then provide demographic information about yourself. Your email address becomes your login.
-
2
Click on "Your Account." After doing so, you see an option that says "My Seller Account." Choose this link to set up a seller's account. You need to give Amazon your bank account information so that Amazon can pay you via direct deposit when someone buys your items.

3
Choose "List Single Items for Sale." This takes you to a screen that asks you to select the product category in which the item for sale belongs, the title or keyword of the product and the product's ISBN, UPC or ASIN number (if applicable). Enter the appropriate information and press "Continue."
-
4
Find the product that exactly matches the item you have for sale. If the item is not currently for sale on Amazon, you see a message that says, "Please note: Because the item you indicated is not currently in our catalog, it is ineligible for Amazon Marketplace selling."
-
5
Describe the condition of your item using preset categories such as "Used-Like New" or "Collectible-Acceptable." Add a comment about the item up to 1,000 characters. Enter the price for which you wish to sell the item and how many of the item you have. Type your ZIP code so buyers can see from where their packages are shipping. Note if you are willing to ship internationally or via expedited service.
-
6
Review the listing information for accuracy. The preconfirmation page lists how much money you should make if the item sells and what Amazon's commission is. Press "Submit your listing."
-
7
Wait for an email from Amazon that indicates someone has bought your item. (If your item does not sell in 30 days, Amazon delists it and does not charge you a fee.) Mail the item to the buyer. Amazon sends direct deposits to your checking account twice a month, or you can manually choose to have a deposit made sooner.
