How to Download Videos
Whether you're a regular on YouTube or a fan of obscure international sports, there's a way for you to download the videos you want off the Internet and onto your computer. Torrent files, broadband upload sites and special downloader programs make getting your favorite videos straightforward and easy.

1
Right-click the video file's hyperlink and select "Save As." This is the best way to download MPEG, AVI and QuickTime files that are available on regular websites.
-
2
Check your Temporary Internet Files folder for saved streaming videos. These aren't always saved here, but many of them are, and it's an easy way to nab clips that are otherwise hard to get.

3
Use a special video downloader to save YouTube videos to your hard drive. There are a handful of these around the Internet, and they're a breeze to use. Simply enter the video's Web address and then download the file.
-
4
Search BitTorrent websites for the videos you're interested in. Sites like Mininova.org offer huge selections of all kinds of videos and movies. Be careful, though, because many of these clips are copyrighted and only illegally available for download.

5
Decode and rip copy-protected DVDs with a program like SlySoft's AnyDVD. If you've got Nero or Alcohol 120%, you can save the DVDs as image files and play them back directly from your computer.
