Leaving feedback for a seller after an Amazon purchase helps advise Amazon of a seller's habits. It also helps future buyers decide whether or not to use that vendor. Positive feedback helps Amazon merchants build their businesses. Buyers have 90 days to leave seller feedback on Amazon, so log on to your Amazon account and leave feedback before the option expires.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Log on to your Amazon account with your username and password. Click "Your Account" and "Leave Seller Feedback."

  2. Step 2

View your orders. Orders will be separated by date, order number, title, delivery estimate and seller. If you've ordered similar items from different sellers, look for seller names to differentiate them. If you don't remember the seller's name, look for purchase dates and delivery estimates to try and identify the order.

  3. Step 3

Find the five gray stars located near the "Seller Rating" title under the name of the order.

  4. Step 4

Click on the appropriate star for your order. Five stars are considered the highest rating while one star is the lowest. Choose four or five stars for positive feedback, three stars for neutral feedback and two or one star for negative feedback.

  5. Step 5

Answer the optional questions. Optional questions advise Amazon on the seller's delivery, advertising and customer service habits.

  6. Step 6

Leave a comment. Type a few words describing your experience to help other customers decide if they want to purchase from the seller. Keep the comment under 400 words and don't use HTML.

  7. Step 7

    Submit your feedback.

Tips & Warnings
  • You'll get a reminder to leave feedback for your Amazon purchase if you haven't done so after 30 days. Check your email for official notifications.
  • Leave feedback for Amazon Auction and zShop purchases by visiting their respective websites.
  • If you're dissatisfied with your purchase, contact the seller before leaving feedback. Resolving issues before leaving feedback helps protect sellers from inaccurate feedback that brings down their permanent rating.
