Typically if you bend a cigarette in half, it will break into two pieces. However, with the cigarette bend bar trick, you can bend the cigarette in half without breaking it by putting a little moisture on the tip of it. This is a great trick to bet against people with and make some easy money. Prepare you cigarette beforehand for this trick.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Lick your finger to get some saliva on it.

  2. Step 2

Dab the end of your cigarette where you light it into the saliva. Get enough on it to lightly moisten the tip of the cigarette.

  3. Step 3

Light the cigarette and puff on it a little. Take a couple of drags from it, which will cause the paper to get moisture in it throughout the cigarette. This will make it pliable enough to bend it.

  4. Step 4

Make a bet with a friend that you can bend your cigarette without breaking it.

  5. Step 5

Grasp your lit cigarette by the filter and pinch it lightly just above the middle of the cigarette in between your thumb and pointer and middle fingers.

  6. Step 6

Bend the lit end upward and notice that it does not break. Without the moisture that you have put into the cigarette paper by the above steps, the cigarette would have broken in half.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can ask your friend to try bending his cigarette first before you attempt it. This will provide some shock value when you bend your cigarette.
  • If he tries to bend his cigarette before making the bet with you, his inability to bend the cigarette may provoke him to bet against you being able to do it or cause him to bet more money than he otherwise would.
  • You can even smoke your cigarette as its bent upward for an extra effect with this trick.
