If you've been pondering what to do with that stack of old wedding invitations, collecting dust because they're too lovely to throw away, don't head for the recycle bin quite yet. There are some clever ways to put those old wedding invitations to good use.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Use a paper cutter or a ruler and a craft knife to cut the invitations into small cards and put a stack on our desk to use for notes, lists or phone numbers. Cut some into rectangles, fold them in half, and use them as gift tags. Tape them to gifts, or punch a hole and attack a ribbon or piece of colorful yarn.
Step2
Use the envelopes to mail letters or cards.
Step3
Turn the cards into decorative backgrounds for scrapbook pages.
Step4
Remove any personal information from the cards and put them in a craft box for kids, or donate them to a kindergarten or preschool. Call your local senior center or nursing home and ask if they have uses for the cards.
Step5
Trim the cards to 4 x 5 inches and use the blank sides as index cards for recipes, homework or craft projects.
Step6
Cut the cards into long rectangles and use them as bookmarks. Punch a small hole in the top of each one and attach a piece of ribbon or yarn.
Step7
Make the cards into small place cards for a wedding shower. Just fold them in half and write each guest's name on a card with gold or silver marker.
