While metallic makeups, such as bronze, copper, silver and gold, are not new to makeup manufacturers, many women are bit intimidated by the seemingly daring sparkle shining through the package. However, metallic makeup is great for women of any age and for any makeup style. A few tips can help you wear a new look.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Metallic eyeshadow
  • Metallic eyeliner
  • Metallic dusting powders
  • Large blush brush
  • Lip liner pencil
  • Clear lip gloss
  1. Step 1

Wear silver metallic makeup as the base to your regular shadows, applying the eyeshadow from the lash line on up to the brow ridge. You can then layer and blend your regular colors on top. You will quickly see that a layer of silver underneath adds depth and highlights the upper eye.

  2. Step 2

Use copper, bronze or gold for a glamorous way to add spark to your eyes. Whether you are playing it cool and using natural tones or going bold with purples, greens or blues, applying metallic makeup to the eye crease and slightly above will add pop and style to your look.

  3. Step 3

Get that glowing diva look with a metallic eyeliner. Silver eyeliners are perfect for blue and purple shadows, while gold is great for greens, reds and natural tones. If desired, a light layer of metallic eyeliner can be applied above your regular dark liner.

  4. Step 4

Glow like never before by using metallic dusting powders for highlights. Use a large blush brush to lightly apply the powder anywhere where the light naturally falls, such as the forehead, upper cheeks, nose, chest, breasts, shoulders and even your arms.

  5. Step 5

Create luscious lips with a brush of your metallic makeup. Choose a lip liner pencil in any color you like, lining your lips and then filling them in completely. Apply a light dusting of metallic eyeshadow to the center of your lips and then seal with clear lip gloss.
