1
Select a time of day with your children well rested such as in the morning or after a nap. Tired twin toddlers aren't capable of controlling their emotions and may make a scene in a restaurant. They are also more likely to antagonize each other when tired.
-
2
Pick a restaurant where people won't likely notice your toddlers' loud voices. Choose restaurants that play loud music, have a lot of stimulus or draw large crowds. Try restaurants like Hard Rock Cafe, Red Robin or Chevy's.
-
3
Sit your toddlers on opposite ends of the table. If they sit next to each other they will feed off the other's behavior making it hard for you to control both. They will also grab each other's food, hair or arms causing something to spill or fall from the table.
-
4
Feed your twins before going out to eat. If the restaurant is busy or there is a delay getting the food to the table your toddlers will get hungry and therefore cranky. Feed them a small meal that will tide them over until the food arrives.
-
5
Provide your twin toddlers with entertainment such as small cars, crayons or a doll. This will keep them busy so they don't grab things off the table or demand all of your attention.
