Things You'll Need:
- Swimming pool
- Pool hose
- Buckets
- Filtration system
-
Step 1
Keep your pool water free of bacteria by using non-chemical methods such as electronic ionization filtration. It's not only better for your gardens, it's better for you and the environment. Also, your pool should have a filtering system which cycles the water through to keep it clean and fresh.
-
Step 2
Transfer the water to the garden. This process can be done using buckets or with a pool hose. The tube will have to be attached to the pump and run to the garden you plan to water. If it's a short distance, buckets would be easier.
-
Step 3
Apply the water to the garden. If using buckets, spread the water evenly. Do not apply an overabundance of water. If using the hose from the pump, apply the water as you would with a garden hose.
-
Step 4
Water the garden daily. Keep in mind to not overwater the garden. If it rains, do not water the garden. The best time to water is early morning or late evening. Do not water in the hottest parts of the day.
