How to Make Cheesy Garlic Bread

Cheesy garlic bread isn't for calorie counters, but the rich blend of flavors is worth an occasional indulgence. Things You'll Need

  • 3 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp. butter, softened to room temperature
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 3 tbsp. fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups crumbed feta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Monterey jack cheese
  • 1/2 cups green onions or scallions, finely chopped

  • 1 loaf of Ciabiatta, French or Italian bread, cut into 3/4-inch slices

      Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F and place the oven rack in the middle of the oven.

      Combine the softened butter, mayonnaise and minced garlic, and stir the mixture until the ingredients are well blended.

      Add the crumbled feta cheese, grated Monterey jack cheese, chopped green onions, chopped fresh parsley and half of the grated Parmesan cheese.

      Spread about 2 to 3 tbsp. of the mixture on each slice of bread, and sprinkle about a tablespoon of the Parmesan cheese over the top. Press the Parmesan cheese into the bread with the back of a spoon.

      Place the cheesy garlic bread on a baking sheet and sprinkle them with salt and freshly ground black pepper to season, if desired. Garnish the bread with a sprinkling of paprika.

      Bake the cheesy garlic bread until but cheese is melted, bubbly, and beginning to turn golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes.
