Step 1
Find a used pool liner. Liners tend to shrink with use. This means that the skimmer holes may not line up, even if they look like they will.
-
Step 2
Visually inspect the used liner before you install it. Look for any tears or excessive stretching you may not have originally noticed.
-
Step 3
Create a smooth pool liner support base. It will act as a buffer between the liner and the harsh terrain with stone, animal, insect, root and rock movement. Debris free masonry sand is a good choice. Begin at the outside of the pool and work your way to the center.
-
Step 4
Unfold the used pool liner. Stretch it out to make it as wrinkle-free as possible. Line up the skimmer holes the best you can.
-
Step 5
Fill the pool up with water. Since you're using a used pool liner, you need to make absolutely sure there's no leaking. Don't be surprised if it caves in when the pool is two-thirds full.
