How to Know if a Guy is on Drugs

Sadly, many people can easily become addicted to drugs. When meeting a new guy and getting to know him, sometimes the signs of him being on drugs can be difficult to catch. In order to protect yourself, you need to recognize those signs.

1. Observe his personality. Check to see if his moods change often or if he is verbally or physically abusive. He may become mean and disrespectful when he is on drugs. He may also be overly paranoid all the time.

2. Note whether he lies about where he is going or what he is doing. He may be trying to hide his habit from you. Sometimes you may catch him in a lie but then he turns it around to make it like you heard him wrong, when you know in your gut that you caught him lying.

3. Look around and notice if some of his possessions are missing. He may be selling them to buy drugs. He may also be stealing in order to supply his habit. If you see that his once full apartment or house is now becoming empty without any reason for it, then you may have a problem.

4. Try to find out his money situation. He may always have a lot of money, or he could always be asking others for money.

5. Find out whether he seems withdrawn from his friends and family. If they are trying to contact him and he's staying away from them, he may be avoiding them so they can't tell he is abusing drugs.

6. Look at his physical appearance. He may be sleeping too much or not enough. His eyes may be bloodshot or pupils dilated. He might have a lot of energy and be sweating profusely. Each drug has a different effect on a person, so it's important to note what you see.
