Age spots are embarrassing and can make you look older than you are. Murad is a skincare line that carries many products for your skin's different needs. One product is made specifically for age spots; it's called Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel. This gel works by combining glycolic acid which exfoliates and evens out skin tones with hydroquinone to help fade unwanted pigment.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy
Step1
Wash your face with Murad Essential-C cleanser and Essential C toner. This line is great for its repairing and anti-aging properties and is recommended for use with the lightening gel.
Step2
Massage a thin layer of Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel over your face, neck, chest and hands everyday after cleansing and toning.
Step3
Follow up with Essential-C Daily renewal complex. Massage a small amount over all effected areas.

Tips & Warnings

  • To prevent further damage to your skin and the potential for more age spots, always wear a light spf sunscreen along with your moisturizer. Murad makes a daily moisturizer called Essential-C day moisture spf 15 if you wish to stay within the same line. This moisturizer would replace the Essential-C daily renewal complex listed above.
  • Products take time to work. You may not see instant results, but over prolonged use, the product will make your skin look brighter, younger and with less appearance of age spots.
  • Murad Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel may only reduce the appearance of age spots. Depending on the severity of them you may need to consult your dermatologist for advice.
