There is no doubt that messages sent to us about what is right and wrong when it comes to sex can become extremely confusing. Mom says one thing, "GQ" and "Vogue" say another, and when you follow Dr. Ruth's advice, freedom of choice, you are called a womanizer or sleazy. Don't worry, being a highly sexual being is perfectly normal and a few tips can help you deal.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Know that you are not abnormal and that sex and sexual instinct is literally written into our DNA. Just because you are more sexual than others does not mean that you are strange. The most important thing is to accept who you are and how you are and learn ways to deal with your sexuality to protect your mental, emotional and physical health as well as those around you and your sexual partners.

  2. Step 2

Recognize that your ideas about sex are almost completely formed by society, including your friends and family. Because these ideas can vary from one extreme to the other, it is important that you meditate on your own feelings about sex and what you feel personally is right and wrong. If you can clearly define in your own mind what you honestly feel is okay and not okay about sex, you are well on your way to dealing and accepting that you are a sexual being.

  3. Step 3

Deal with being highly sexual by playing out your fantasies with a willing partner. As a highly sexual being, it is important that you find a partner who can satisfy your needs, and vice versa. Trying to hold a relationship with someone who is not sexually compatible will just cause frustration, build aggression and can possible send you out looking for pleasure elsewhere, which is dangerous in a number of ways.

  4. Step 4

Find other ways to get sexual satisfaction if you haven't found the right partner. Remember that masturbation is a far better way to satisfy a need than seeking out strangers, becoming a victimizer of sexual harassment or otherwise hurting yourself and others in an attempt to satisfy a sexual need.

  5. Step 5

Play it safe and use condoms. As a highly sexual being, you must learn to protect both you and your partner at all times.

Tips & Warnings
  • Nymphomania is not a joke, but a serious mental condition. If you feel that being highly sexual has become detrimental to you and the people around you, it may be time to seek help from a sexual psychologist.
