How to Make Business Cards With GIMP

GIMP software allows you to do many of the things you can do in Photoshop and other image manipulation programs. You can create your customized business cards in GIMP and print them at home. This can save you money and give you a product you are really proud of.

  • Heavy cardstock

      Download the GIMP Labels plugin.

      Go to "Toolbox" then "Xtns" then "Misc" then "Labels" then "Rect Label" enter the dimensions of the business card that you will create. (Standard size is 3 1/2 x 2 inches.)

      Create the image and text for your business cards. Be sure to double check your contact information. Any image you add to your card should compliment it without overwhelming the text. Try adding borders to add accents.

      Insert the image to print as a page of cards by selecting "Image" then "Filters" then "Combine" then "Make Label Page."

      Print a test sheet of your labels. If everything is correct, print a full sheet of labels, use a paper cutter to cut them to the correct size.
