Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Make sure that you brush, floss and use mouthwash everyday. Because plaque becomes rock hard in just 12 hours, including between your teeth, without proper dental hygiene, teeth whitening efforts are simply a waste of time.

  2. Step 2

Use baking soda to brush your teeth instead of your regular toothpaste. Baking soda is one of the best cheep methods to whiten teeth, as it effectively and quickly removes plaque. Using baking soda twice a day for just two weeks will give you noticeable results and the freshest breath around.

  3. Step 3

Rub olive oil on your gums and teeth after brushing, as it has shown to have whitening power. Not only will olive oil help to whiten teeth, it will also help to kill bacteria which causes gingivitis and bad breath.

  4. Step 4

Splurge and get yourself some over-the-counter whitening strips of gel. While these products may seem a bit pricey, they are cheep in comparison to profession dental treatment. However, be aware that these products can increase sensitivity to your teeth and can make your teeth more absorbent. If you smoke or drink tea or coffee, it is best to avoid these products.

Tips & Warnings
  • Lemon juice works as a natural bleach and it is sometimes recommended to mix lemon juice with baking soda; however, the citric acid in lemons can permanently damage your tooth enamel.
