How to Talk to the Dead Through Warm Reading

Psychic mediums use three different methods to read people and communicate with the dead: the cold, the warm and the hot reading. A warm reading is one in which the medium utilizes a personal object, memento or artifact to facilitate the message. Using the objects of the dead as a way to channel the dead has been around for a very long time. Below are a few guidelines on how to talk to the dead using a warm reading.

1. Ask the client to let you handle the deceased's most precious and most utilized possession. You are looking for an object that has been in almost constant proximity to the person and they have owned it for a long time. This should be a careful selection by your client.

2. Don't allow the client to over inform you on the artifact's origin and story. Allow yourself to answer the unspoken questions. By asking the client to confirm details regarding the object you can warm up to the main reading.

3. Begin to really focus on the object exploring its texture, smell, weight and other distinguishing features. Let your mind relax and open in the process.

4. Allow yourself to relax completely focusing all your energy onto the object. Images and symbols may begin to come into your mind but stay calm. It is not a good idea to blurt out everything you see as you may accidentally come across a sensitive area.

5. Let the client ask you direct questions about the deceased as you continue to hold the object in your hand.

6. Repeat the client's questions inside your mind focusing on the owner of the object in your hands. Stay focused and listen and feel for any response.

7. Share all information received with client regardless of form or level of absurdity. It is the little things that make a reading personal. Always be respectful when handling the property of the deceased.
