You can use solar power on a boat in many ways. It can be used to not only save you money, but to save space as well. Solar energy can be stored and used to power many things on your boat, easing your worries about power failures or shorts on your trip.

1. Illuminate or light up your boat with solar power. It can power both lights internally as well as externally on your boat, which will help to keep fuel consumption down as you will not need to power a generator with gas to use the lights on your boat.

2. Use solar power to run a cooling device on your boat. This could be a refrigerator that you store food or drinks in while you are on your trip. It could also be a cooler that you store fish in if you are on a fishing trip and want to save your catch and keep it fresh.

3. Power all the electronic devices that you have on your boat with solar power. This could range from radios and televisions to DVD players and entertainment systems.

4. Drive your boat by using solar power to power your boat's engine. Just like all other items on the craft you can have a solar powered engine for your boat to propel you. You will need to make sure that you have a large enough solar panel to absorb all of the power you will need to power your boat.
