Step 1
Start Adobe Fireworks CS3 and start a new, blank document or open an existing document from your files with which you want to use the rubber stamp tool.
-
Step 2
Select the rubber stamp tool from the Adobe Fireworks toolbox on the left side of the screen. This is in the "Bitmap" section of the toolbox and is depicted by a picture of a stamp. Once selected, the options for the rubber stamp tool will be displayed at the bottom of the screen in the "Properties" panel.
-
Step 3
Use the drop-down lists to control the size and edge of the rubber stamp tool. The bigger the number in the "Size" text box, the larger the rubber stamp will be. The larger the number in the "Edge" text box, the softer the rubber stamp will be.
-
Step 4
Add checkmarks to the check boxes to indicate that you want to keep the rubber stamp "Source aligned" and "Use entire document."
-
Step 5
Set the "Opacity" and "Blend Mode" using the drop-down lists that appear on the very right side of the "Properties" panel. The lower you set the opacity, the more transparent the rubber stamp will be.
-
Step 6
Point with your mouse over the area of the document you want to copy and hold down the ALT key on your keyboard as you click. This will copy the information onto the clipboard.
-
Step 7
Press your mouse button and drag on the Fireworks document to use the rubber stamp tool. This tool will paint the part of the document you have just copied.
