How to Buy Petite Lingerie
Buying lingerie is always a challenge since every body is shaped differently and there are so many styles to choose from. If you happen to be petite, it could be even more difficult since many styles are not made for the under 5 foot 4 inch woman. Luckily, lingerie companies have become increasingly aware of this hole in the market and now give petites more choices. Does this Spark an idea?

Check out a petite size chart to see where you fit best (see Resources). Keep in mind that lingerie is often labeled as small, medium or large instead of using actual measurements. The chart helps you figure out where you fall.

2
Shop in stores that carry a petite section. Stores like Lula Lu specialize in smaller frames and display their inventory online. Some stores also carry lingerie for the full-size petite woman. See Resources below.

Buy the correct band size and adjust for cup size until you get the right fit when you're buying a lingerie top. In some brands, the cup size gets larger as the band gets larger--the cup of a 36C is larger than the cup of a 32C.

Look for slits in lingerie bottoms. It doesn't matter if you're buying long lingerie or a short baby doll style, try to get bottoms with a slit because it elongates your legs and offers the allusion of height.

Try on as much lingerie as possible. Find brands and styles that give you a good fit. All lingerie is made differently, and the more you try things on, the more you will know exactly what you are looking for.
