Mozilla Firefox allows you to create a unique profile that stores your personal settings, extensions, themes and additional user data. If you want to adjust any of your settings on Firefox, you'll want to use the Profile Manager, found on your Windows-supported browser.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Access the Profile Manager. Go to the Programs menu under the Start tab. Through this menu, you should find a shortcut for Profile Manager.

  2. Step 2

Create a new profile. Once you get to the Profile Manager section, you'll want to start a new profile in order to adjust your settings. As soon as you start the Profile Manager, a window pops up and asks if you would like to create a profile. Select this option before continuing.

  3. Step 3

Name your profile and import your information into the Profile Manager. Choose a profile name and then select the Import option, found in the main menu, to put your information into the new profile.

  4. Step 4

Delete a profile if necessary. Go to the Delete Profile option under the main menu of the Profile Manager. You'll see a list of current profiles. Select a profile to delete it and all of its files and settings.

Tips & Warnings
  • You'll have to use different techniques if you want to use the Profile Manager on another operating system, like Linux or Mac. Go to the official MozillaZine for further instructions (see Resources below).
  • Each time you log on the Profile Manager, you're asked if you wish to create a new profile. Check the Don't Ask at Startup option if you no longer want this window to appear.
