If you play paintball quite often then you will want to know how to snap shoot. It is one of the most essential skills in the adrenaline-pumping sport of paintball. Tournament and woodsball paintball players truly need to know this technique in order to win the game. Snap shooting is known as doing anything you can behind a bunker and then quickly shooting at your opponent.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Keep your balance while playing paintball. Balance is a very important trait to have when you are trying to play paintball because you don't want to expose yourself and get shot.

  2. Step 2

Face your bunker when you are hiding behind it. Tuck your elbows in and balance the paintball gun on your bicep, not your shoulder. Look down the barrel of your gun, and hold the gun in front of your face. Stay close to your bunker to hide.

  3. Step 3

Figure out where your opponent is hiding. You will need to know their location if you are going to snap shoot at them. If they are to the right, then you will have to lean out a bit and point your paintball gun from the right side of the bunker. Use the dominant hand in that direction to shoot with.

  4. Step 4

Lean out of your bunker, but only half of your head. Make sure you have your opponent in sight and that they are exposed. Shoot a few paintballs and quickly snap back into your bunker. Stay compact and hidden while shooting.

  5. Step 5

Snap shoot and repeat. As soon as they aim back at you and the balls fly by your bunker, repeat the shot again. Then change up your shooting pattern by hitting higher, lower or changing sides to keep your opponent guessing. Keep doing snap shooting until you hit your opponent.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use strategy to draw out your opponent from beyond the bunker.
  • Always wear safety gear while playing paintball.
