SnagIt is a program that captures different forms of data on your computer screen using capture profiles. Capture profiles are the settings that control how SnagIt captures data, such as capturing images, text, web content and video. Capture profiles are denoted with screen icons, which make it easy to see what your current capture setting is and to change that setting to a new or different profile.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Open SnagIt.

  2. Step 2

Select a capture profile from the "Basic Capture Profiles" presented in the various windows on the screen.

  3. Step 3

Drop down to "Output" under the "Capture Settings" heading.

  4. Step 4

Choose an output setting from the list provided. This tells SnagIt where to send the content it captures.

  5. Step 5

Change your capture settings at any time by making different selections from the "Basic Capture Profiles" and the "Output" options.
