1. Stock up on Post-it notes. It takes a lot of Post-its to cover an office and all its contents. Some people report using 6000 notes to cover a colleague's area. Make sure you have enough, or you'll be making a run to an office supply store mid-way through.

2. Pick a day to stay late. Make sure that the victim isn't staying late on that day.

3. Enlist the help of friends and colleagues. These conspirators need to be trustworthy and patient. Pulling and sticking Post-its is extremely repetitive and boring, and no one wants a whiner complaining the whole time she is trying to get it done. The prank won't be nearly as fun if someone tells the victim before he sees all the notes in his office.
