1
Get her to start talking about herself. Ask her a specific question about something she did that day, or a friend or family member. You can even ask her about her likes and her dislikes of movies, food, books and television to keep her talking.
-
2
Ask her random questions such as dream vacations, dream careers, dream life or favorite cities. Not only will this keep the conversation going, but it's a great bonding activity.
-
-
3
Start the "I'll hang up after you hang up" game. This is a great way to extend the call since neither of you wants to be the first to hang up and potentially hurt the other's feelings. This only works in the beginning of the relationship though.
-
4
Tell her you want her to stay on the phone longer. If you want to keep talking to her, be direct and tell her that. She'll be flattered.
-
5
Be prepared with conversations if you feel like you're not spending enough time on the phone with your girlfriend. Try to avoid saying nothing or just grunting as she talks or she may be more likely to get off the phone with you.

Well, the reason why most middle school (and high school) relationships end after a week is because both parties usually don't know what they want in dating yet, or they don't feel comfortable/ready for a long lasting relationship yet. Some people aren't on the same page in life, and most middle school kids don't want to commit to anything serious - they want to explore. So it really depends on you and your partner. If you're really into each other, they're no reason why you guys couldn't last till the end of high school and beyond! xD (Keep in mind though, that you guys are young and constantly changing. That's especially true in high school, and most so during your freshman year in high school. After high school is even crazier.) -
