In the multi-player online game Puzzle Pirates, getting a perfect score in the sailing puzzle raises a pirate's stats. Puzzle Pirates allows users to create their own pirate, play puzzle games and be rated in skill in the games. The higher your score, the more games the pirate can play and the more gold she can add to her treasure chest. Read on to learn how to get perfect in sailing Puzzle Pirates.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Start a sailing puzzle on a navy ship or a pillaging vessel. Sailing puzzles are located by the rigging on the deck of all ships.

  2. Step 2

Look at the way the screen is set up as the game begins. Think of how the pieces fit with the other blocks. Each piece is made up of two colored balls. When the pieces drop, turn them to fit the other blocks.

  3. Step 3

Check for cascades or combos. Cascades and combos happen when one ball is attached to a block and one ball is not. When the block disappears, these extra pieces drop down. If done correctly, they fall into other blocks or down into combinations of four or more.

  4. Step 4

Designate a specific area of the game to place unusable pieces. This spot needs to be away from the blocks where it doesn't interfere with your game play. These blocks can also be cleared by getting four of the same color in a row or column.

  5. Step 5

Build combos from the bottom up starting with the lower most blocks. Do not clear the blocks completely and move to the upper blocks. If you try to work your way down instead of up, you run the risk of clogging up the top half of the board.

  6. Step 6

Wait for the right pieces to fall. If you have time before a league point or docking, wait for a perfect piece to clear the whole board. If you are getting closer to a league point or docking, get any good pieces to create combos and cascades.

Tips & Warnings
  • Avoid stacking the pieces close to the top. If the pieces reach the top you get a botched score.
  • The space bar drops the piece rapidly. Be sure of the piece's placement before you hit the space bar.
