How to Get Boys to Give Compliments

Getting a compliment from boys is a nice way to get a quick boost to your self-esteem. It's especially nice when the boy compliments you in front of others. 1. Get the boy to talk to you. Once you are involved in a conversation, it will be easier to coax a compliment from him.

2. Tell the boy about one of your insecurities. If it's a talent, say how terrible you think you are at it and how much you wish you could be better at it. That should prompt him to say something nice about it and to give you that compliment you want. The same can be done by talking about your looks or anything else for which he might compliment you.

3. Make the boy feel sorry for you. This may not be the most ethical route, but it will work for any boy who has a compassionate nature. If you show him how sad you are about some aspect of yourself, he is sure to give you a compliment to make you feel better about it.

4. Ask him straight out what he thinks about you, your talents, looks or abilities. If you ask him directly, a boy with a conscience will answer with a compliment. If you can do this in front of a group of boys, you may just get several compliments from boys.
